The winner is selected after a team of judges review all entries, after the deadline of February 23, 2015. Applicants are judged on creativity, thoughtfulness, and insight. Articles with poor grammar, spelling, and lack of proofreading will not be considered. Winner will be announced March 20, 2015.

Funds are provided by LocalSatelliteTV.com. Payments are issued by LocalSatelliteTV.com, made payable to the student's approved college or university, and mailed after April 24, 2015 directly to the accredited college or university last designated by the student.
If any other funds pay tuition, fees, books, and on-campus room and board in their entirety for the student's 2015-2016 academic year, the student is no longer eligible to receive this scholarship and will forfeit the scholarship.
The institution must be accredited and listed on the official website of the U.S. Department of Education (http://ope.ed.gov/accreditation/Search.aspx). Applicants attending military academies are ineligible for this scholarship. All school transfers are subject to accreditation approval.
The recipient must be actively enrolled full-time as a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior in fall 2015, and remain so for the entire academic year without interruption, barring illness, emergency, or military service. It is the recipient's responsibility to verify receipt of funds with their designated institution and notify LocalSatelliteTV.com should the award check not arrive on or about 30 days from the issue date.
